The experience begins as soon as you arrive at the marina, where Catalan barques, small traditional fishing boats and rigs from another era await you. Decked out in their shimmering colors, they’re a sight to behold. A sweet, iodized scent reigns.

Then look up! You’re just a stone’s throw from the mountains. Here, nature reigns, and Argelès-sur-Mer is definitely not a classic seaside resort.

Live the experience underwater

If you’re a scuba diving enthusiast, our three diving clubs in the harbour (plus a fourth at Camping La Sirène) will take you to our most beautiful spots on the rocky coast or to the Cerbère-Banyuls marine nature reserve. The translucent blue water, the flora and fauna, a moment out of time and places to protect at all costs.

For those who don’t want to get wet just yet, the underwater experience can be enjoyed in a different way, on boats with translucent bottoms. Set off to discover a teeming marine world. A time of discovery to share with young and old alike. For the more experienced, you can also rent a small pleasure boat for a day, with or without a license, to experience the sea at your own pace.

Throw yourself with water

And there’s nothing better than kayaking or stand-up paddling to enjoy the changing colors of the mountains, while letting yourself be carried along by the water to places where motorized vehicles can’t reach.

Take the time for a leisurely stroll in harmony with the surrounding nature, skirting the edge of the cliffs and discovering natural beaches or little coves well hidden from everyone. Then it’s time to return home, nourished by a wealth of experiences…

Answer the call from the deep blue sea

Enjoy the power of the wind with wingfoil, a gentle blend of Stand-up Paddle and Windsurf. Thanks to this true nautical
rise above sea level and feel the adrenaline rush.

Glide across the water on Windsurf and Funboard, the emblematic windsurf and its sportier version. Get up to speed and ride the wind!

Enjoy the pleasure of sailing on a sport catamaran. These small “school boats”, with their original parallel hulls
hulls, are ideal for outings on the water, alone or accompanied.

And introduce your children to the joys of sailing on an Optimist, a small dinghy specially designed for them. More experienced sailors can even progress at their own pace in one of our clubs.
